While the first week was a little hectic, I am incredibly thankful for the understanding and support that has been given from the @uwinnipeg and more incredibly so, the @UWinnipeg_CLAS department. Personal shout out to @MelissaKAFunke who, while I have not had a class with https://twitter.com/ColleenDerkatch/status/1245364848722092032
@MelissaKAFunke During this time but has been a great support online. @pjmillerCLAS Who has helped provide answers when needed. @Vicky_Austen Who has cut back the work load and been very very understanding on deadlines and has checked in to see how people are doing in this crisis
@plripat Who has also been so so kind and cut back on work load and made work that had to be done more manageable, also understanding the situation and working with students on finding a solution that best suits them and last but not least my Latin prof, Warren Huard.
While I dont believe he has twitter, has worked hard at assuring that students do the best that they can during these horrible circumstances. It is phenomenal that while dealing with stressors of their own, they still dedicate their time to assure that their students are mentally
well and that during this time, their grades dont fall. I will remember this forever. I want to shout out to EVERY educator right now that has acted the same as written above and say a big thank you. I guarantee the students are appreciative and feeling a special kind of love. <3
