Feels appropriate to be writing my PhD thesis about institutionalised violence right now. 1. Innocently boarded @TPExpressTrains train w/o ticket having been told could purchase on board.

2. Received penalty fine for not buying ticket on board (which was permitted just 3 weeks prior). 3. When questioned the fine subjected to (rather threatening) video and audio recording device. 4. Marshalled off train by @TPExpressTrains manager.

5. Currently reading @davidgraeber 'All of these are institutions... that ultimately rest on the threat of force. “Force”, in turn, is just a euphemistic way to refer to violence (Graeber 2012: 112).
