This is the potential damage that can be done when the media jumps on board with interchanging PE and PA. They are different domains, and the use of both uncritically will lead to further disparity for PE as a core academic discipline and see it further marketised and privatised
There's a wicked paper that I can't remember who wrote around the impact of neoliberalism ideologies on PE but I will endeavour to find it. PE has to remain central in this dialogue as an inclusive vehicle for education beyond the physical.
Mass generalised PA programmes such as this are not individualised, and nor are they wholly appreciative of the significant barriers to engagement including the very physical such as disability or broader cultural and social
