The CARES Act passed last week contained $260B in extra unemployment benefits.

👉That is enough to cover the $600/wk amount through the stated July 31 end date for 26 million people.

There have been 10M unemp claims in 2 weeks.

Likely that congress will need to provide add'l.
CARES Act reference chart:
Federal Reserve committee member Bullard said last week that their projections are for an expected 30% unemployment rate (~50 million people).
Per first tweet in this thread from 3 weeks ago, CARES Act allocated extended unemployment benefits for 26M Americans through July 31.

Today we reached 26M unemployment claims. Not peaked though and will last longer than July 31. U.S. needs more help.
