ℹ️ Important Bridging Bursary info ℹ️

We want to thank everyone who has applied to the Bridging Bursary (Arts and Creative) so far. As indicated, we’ll respond to all applications as soon as possible within the four-week timeframe.
The circumstances are unprecedented, and the response to the fund has been significant:
🔵 Over 800 applications in 3 days
🔵 Just under £1.5m requested from the available £2m funds
☀️The fund prioritises support to freelance practitioners whose primary source of income comes from creative work in the not-for-profit sector, and to those most in need.
⏸So we can be as fair as possible, applications to the Bridging Bursary (Arts and Creative) will pause at 6pm today.

We need to take stock of all requests to date, and ensure funds stay available for those who need extra time or couldn’t apply this week due to having Covid-19.
🗓Applications will re-open on Monday 20 April

We anticipate that they will close again on Friday 25 April, however, we may need to close earlier if demand outstrips the funds we have available in that week.
🎥At the moment, applications for the Screen Scotland Bridging Bursary will remain open - we’re continuing to monitor it closely on a daily basis, and will let you know as soon as possible if there are any changes to its availability.
