Everyone is shocked about what the Tablighi Jamaat has done to us. But then not many know that religion and epidemiology share a close relationship in India. The case in point being the Japanese Encephalitis (JE) which came into focus after the 2017 Gorakhpur tragedy.

The disease is seen as a child-killer yet many parents in Assam had skipped vaccination for their infants in 2017. Why? Because religious preachers in the state had told them that the vaccines are "RSS ki sazish" and that the "Hindu" state govt wanted to sterilise their kids

Also, in Malappuram and other Muslim-dominated Kerala districts, rumours were spread last year that vaccinations would make Muslim children infertile and that the vaccines themselves were pork-based. Not only were vaccinations skipped, vaccinators too were attacked.

But why in the world would someone want to spread such rumours? Well, People especially kids dying of preventable diseases paints a very bad image of India and this is exactly what the anti-national forces want. They don't want India to rise globally. So kids are sacrificed.

This brings us to the Tablighi Jamaat fiasco. What better opportunity to bring India down than a Pandemic? So the same forces which were earlier obstructing vaccination drives now created Coronavirus Super Spreaders across India. We should be furious but not at all surprised
