166 students from all over Indonesia took a flight back home from jakarta today. Upon arrovak at KLIA everyone was screened as usual and students were seperated from then common people. #malaysiacovid19 #Jakarta #MovementControlOrder #COVID19

then all of us were escorted by PDRM in PDRM and BOMBA Penyelamat buses from the airport to Institut Aminudin Baki Nilai (25mins from airport) because the government have implemented a new rule where all students coming from abroad must quarantine under KKM for 14 days. #COVID19

upon arrival we were all give food (lunch I assume) and a green hospital-like attire to change into as they will wash our airport attires for sanitarionpurpose. #MovementControlOrder #AWANInews #Malaysia #malaysiacovid19 #jakarta

Your meals, necessities you requested for, and hospital attire will be given in these storage boxes with your room number on it (at your doorstep) according to the time they’ve set. These infos will be give through the whatsapp group they’ve created for everyone here to join.

They will also provide you with a plastic bag to place your used hospital clothes in for them to wash it for you. All your personal clothes you need to wash them on your own but it’s not much of a problem since they provide hospital clothes twice a day. #QuarantineLife #Malaysia

And this is the most heart breaking part of it. It’s real what the frontliners are going through. Everything, every plea you see online. New Update from Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat. We will be given hygiene kits and snacks and batteries for tv remote. What else can you ask for? Truly grateful and I appreciate KKM for going above and beyond just to keep people safe. Don’t RUN AWAY from quarantine. – at Institut Aminuddin Baki

Not only KKM but I’m sure the entire government and workers and sponsors and production factories are behind making all these possible. Stay home stay safe ya’ll. And do pray for us in quarantine do complete 14 days and going home to our families without being tested positive.

Just wanted also put it out there that now the quarantine facilities are arranged by MKN and NADMA as well. So they deserve the appreciation just as much. Sorry I forgot to mention them in my previous tweets.

Storage box note for today. I am fully aware that they can’t touch anything from us as long as we are still a patient under surveillance. But they are in PPE and gloves at all times and I hope even if they can’t keep it, reading it would make their day.

Sorry that the tweets were protected for a while, it blew up so quickly I had to make sure that the authorities were ok with everything that I’m sharing.

Day 2 meals. I feel so blessed. This is too much and I am so grateful that I have this luxury just for staying in my room when some people out there may not be this orivileged. Thank you also this is only my experience from IAB Nilai. Would love to hear about other places.

despite all the “seronoknya”, I have to put it out there that the reality is still just as scary, staying here alone hoping every day you don’t show symptoms, getting paranoid just by the slightest cough, people staring @ the airport, not being able to see your family. But,....

...we’re not complaining because we know especially as most of us are medical students that this is the right thing to do for not just our family but for the public. it definitely is not close to what the frontliners are doing but it’s something we can do as students....

also this thread is based off of my personal experience in ONE of the quarantine facilities. It may differ to all the the other 300+ facilities around Malaysia. But I’m sure they will do their best to cater to all basic needs. I only expected a classic asrama dorm room. Blessed.
