Day 4 📍Nyanga đŸ‡żđŸ‡Œ
In the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe lies one of the most scenic places you’ll ever visit. Nyanga is a place of many rivers & waterfalls, stunning mountains, flora & fauna, a cool climate and thousands of views. It’s a perfect destination!
In this thread, I share with you some of the places you can visit, and things you can do in Nyanga. Above all, it will help you cherish the beauty of Zimbabwe, and inspire you to go out there and experience the beauty and magnificence of this motherland during your lifetime.
Mt Nyangani

This is the highest point in Zimbabwe. Here you will have unparalleled mountain hiking, walking & trekking experiences. From the summit, you will have the most astounding views. There are mysteries about Nyangani, I assure you, you’ll be enchanted as you explore it.
Nyangombe Falls

Flowing on the Nyangombe River, are the stunningly beautiful falls, which give a scenic view from the top as water cascades down the river. Beautiful rockery & a lovely serenity pool at the bottom. Expect some light sprays from the falls water too! Perfect spot!
Pungwe Falls

Sourcing from the Nyanga hills, the Pungwe River makes a series of beautiful tiers and plunges, and falls into the Pungwe gorge where it makes a spectacular view. Kayaking is one of the activities you can do along the river. The dense vegetation is a marvel too!
World’s View

This is the highest point which can be driven to in Zimbabwe, and because of the high altitude it gives you stunning views of the ‘world’ from the top. You can have a perfect hiking experience, site seeing, a date with nature, sundowners & picnic here in serenity.
Rhodes Museum

Cecil J Rhodes, the Englishman who Rhodesia (Later named Zimbabwe) was named after fell in love with the beauty of Nyanga & built up an estate. After his death, the estate was turned into museum. You’ll see a lot of things he used — including a giant chessboard.
You can take time to visit the Troutbeck Resort, and Blue Swallow Lodges, where you can experience the warm hospitality and delicious cuisine. Views around here are remarkable, there’s also horse riding and a lake for canoeing for those who will be staying there.
On your way back to Harare, you can also pass by Halfway House, they serve a variety of nice teas and meals, have a beautiful spot, and are have a good serene environment to rest, and also to reflect on your memories as you head back home. It’s a true CENTURION.
Zimbabwe is a beautiful place, full of marvels. Words can’t explain enough, but you can only know better when you have experienced them yourself. For now, imagine and plan for your next travel experience; a journey to discover the truth. Be safe.
