For #AutismAcceptance
I’m collecting some clips of me as a child.
I was undiagnosed but I think it’s interesting to look back on how I behaved.
First up, nearly-3-year-old me at a play park, not playing but just taking everything in.

Wanting to get up to where the other kids are but having no idea how to do it.

Here come the hilarious attempts
I never liked sports, am not intuitively physical, am hypermobile, and went on to dread PE at school.
BUT, as an adult I loved dancing, yoga, and aerial silks (before I got ME)

I remember a lot of physical play that other kids thought was fun was a bit scary and painful to me. I didn’t like the discomfort and fear of getting hurt.

I think I would’ve done better in sports with very specific instruction, eg: what muscles to use in a certain move/ exercise.
As an adult doing physio, I would do the exercises wrong until the physio pointed on my body so I could feel exactly what my muscles were meant to do.
