hiii everyone 🥴
so I know this isnt about TXT but it's about the place where I live instead.
I'm a HongKonger, and you probably know about some of the protests that have been going on for quite a while now.
just to be clear, this is only to bring attention to how terrible our government is, and my home is becoming a police state. If you have time, it would be HUGELY APPRECIATED if you could take a look at this thread and support the movement by retweeting.
Please do note, that the clips and photos below may contain triggers, so please view at your own risk. DO NOT SCROLL IF YOU ARE IN A VULNERABLE POSITION.
This shows how the police (dressed in black gear) stormed a train in Prince Edward, August 31, 2019, attacking civilians and peaceful protesters heading home after a peaceful protest. Many casualties reported, pepper sprayed, beaten, just for taking the train back home.
This chilling message was found written on a wall of HK Polytechnic University, after the University was surrounded by police and stormed into, with the university students caught if they tried to exit the university. It doesnt make sense. I know.
August 31st, 2019, Yuen Long station.
After a day if peaceful protest, protestors got on the train to go back home, lots of them going to the residential area of Yuen Long. They were met with a huge crowd of "white shirts" who were carrying batons, sticks, and even knives.
++
++ everyone coming out of the train were beaten up, and people tried to call the police for help from the mob. 24 thousand SOS calls were received. No police showed up until hours later. Hundreds of civilians, protestors and press were beaten bloody, some even permanently injured
after HOURS, the police finally showed up. However, as they went to "raid" the "white shirt" men, they claimed that these batons, sticks and knives did not qualify as weapons. In this photo, shows the white shirted men with a police officer, walking peacefully side by side.
There have also been lots reports on being sexually assaulted by the police after being caught, and an OVERWHELMING number of deaths. The police claimed that they weren't suspicious, even if clips have CLEARLY SHOWN that some people have been pushed out of windows.
{TRIGGER}
this video shows a protestor being pushed out a window CLEARLY, Appearing to be already unconscious. the police have dismissed this as "not suspicious", "will not investigate", "it's a suicide".
There are way too many things that have happened in HK, and they are still going on. Multiple pro-democracy leaders are being arrested for insane reasons, and multiple American press are being banned from HK, ordered by China.
I'm a part of the "international defences line" of the movement. As a citizen of my home, I make use of my knowledge on 4 languages to tell everyone about what is happening in Hong Kong. Please, please retweet this and dont dismiss the news you see about HK next time.
Support Hong Kong.
