Today I left the house for the first time in 18 days. I had to take my equipment back to work (changing jobs) and also get food.

It felt surreal. I was shaking when I got into my car. Feeling the engine calmed me down, and the warm sun on my face reminded me I'm lucky.. (1/6)
Also so many people were wonderful today. #Bekind

I started my driving past a parked refuse truck, I beeped my horn, waved and mouthed "thank you" - the guys inside stuck their thumbs up and smiled. (2/6)
In @Tesco I thanked the staff for coming into work, I got a lot of smiles! All staff were so friendly and kind.

A man screamed in excitement as there was cushelle toilet paper, was laughing with one staff member as I haven't seen this much toilet paper in so long. (3/6)
Stopping off at work it broke my heart to see some of the ICT team, I just wanted to scoop them up and wrap them in cotton wool. It was so lovely to have a little chat to them though, they are dealing with so much stress. 💔 (4/6)
Finally heading home down my road I saw another refuse truck. I slowed down and shouted "thank you for looking after us" they all thanked me, and did a little bow. We all laughed. Hope that made their day!! (5/6)
So what I am getting at is, stay in, but when you do have to go out be kind to those working because they are super important to us. Make their day. Everyone is so tired and scared and we need some happiness. Spread those rainbows my lovelies 😘 💓🌈 (6/6)
