While I do agree with the second half of this sentence, it can be ended, the first half is inaccurate, to say the least.

First, for the sake of this thread, I will consider "Parkinson's disease" as a single disorder, although it is most likely not. The data we have suggest that it is multiple disorders that are clinically similar but may have different underlying mechanisms.

There are three major groups of causes/risk factors of Parkinson's disease. Environmental, the normal process of aging, and genetics. On top of these three, there could also be stochastic events that lead or increase the risk of Parkinson's disease.
