I've always had a problem with this kind of feminism; Beyonce performing in front of a HUGE sign saying feminism but also dancing next to her husband while he makes references to Tina Turner being beaten by Ike...

"I'm Ike, baby no don't play, said eat the cake Anna Mae." https://twitter.com/tragicbungalow/status/1245435323775148034
"Eat the cake, Anna Mae (used in Beyonce ft. Jay Z's song "Drunk In Love," is a reference to Tina Turner. Before she became uber famous, her name was Anna Mae. When she was in a diner, after she released her first single, two kids came up to her and asked for her autograph,
not her husband's, Ike. Ike got jealous. He got some cake so they could celebrate, but when Anna Mae didn't want to eat it, he said, "Eat the cake, Anna Mae!" and pretty much forced it in her mouth and started attacking her.
She was able to get away from her abusive partner, and start her musical career.

"Eat the cake Anna Mae, said Eat the cake, Anna Mae""

Yet we hail Beyonce as some mega feminist icon....Listen to how highly she rates Tina Turner. "I'd never in my life seen a woman so powerful"
Here's Beyonce performing Proud Mary, showering Tina Turner in adoration, around the same time as she was condoning her husband's use of Tina's abuse for a catchy lyric in Drunk In Love 🤷🏽‍♀️
