I met him in a store in New York years ago while trying to buy some tobacco and rolling papers. We went and had coffee. I was a music journo at the time and had just published my first novel Fish Show

Fountains had just brought out the debut eponymous album and were making the video for their single Sink to the Bottom. We realised there was some fishy synchronicity going on here...

So I had my publishers Penguin FedEx over my paperback with the bright fish on the cover - and Fountains used it in their video. If anyone can find a link to the video I'll post it below this thread

In the meantime RIP Adam. You were way too young to die.
