It's really nice that people keep saying "you don't have to do anything during lockdown" but institutions need to say that too, there needs to be postponement of deadlines, prolonging of funding, indefinite paid leave, job security and general mitigations so people can do nothing
It's good to go against the grain and against all these productivity hot takes but y'all... Our bosses are still expecting productivity amidst a crisis we don't know if we will survive, & its incongruent with doing nothing.
Discourse is important and I agree with everybody saying this but can we not pretend that doing nothing isn't a right that is being denied to us atm?
Many of us are feeling paralysis and overwhelm which makes us incapable of working for long periods of time, this is a normal reaction and our workplaces should make accommodations for that.
