Since we're all going to be locked in the proverbial basement for a while, the video conferencing we're all doing has audio that is terrible and often barely understandable. Yet audio is the *thing*. For the love of Dog this needs to change. Do you folks want a solution write up?
How about at price points - under $200, $200-$500, $500-$1500, $1500 and beyond?
No USB mic on the market under a grand is better than a conventional mic, into a decent cheap audio interface then into your computer. And for any given spend, the latter gives you at least 30% better audio, but often up to 50%. The podcasting market is a rort
OK - I'll write up a piece. And record some stuff through all the options to demonstrate - from what you're using now, to the basic step ups, through to "I'd rather buy a car than that". Give me a few days
Also throw in some stuff about room treatment (cheap to free) and how to not sound like you're talking in a school hall or a rainwater tank.
