Students, we hear you. We want to make sure the impact on your studies is as minimal as can be given the circs. I wish these things didn't take time but the university is a giant, unwieldy, bureaucratic beast (but this particular beast genuinely has your success at its heart).

There are definitely problems in the Higher Education system, and there are undoubtedly layers of bureaucracy that could/should be trimmed, but all the work I'm seeing behind the scenes right now is (rightly) centred on making sure students' degrees progress fairly.

I wish we had answers that could be easily implemented and would make everyone happy. It's complicating and frustrating trying to strike a balance and we need approval for every move. Your lecturers are on your side, I swear.
