So 2-3% death rate was based on the stats out of China which were probably all a lie. But that’s where we stand in BC. In Italy and Spain its 7 to 10% which is terrifying.
Start thinking about those numbers when it comes to Canada and the US.

In Canada, percentage holds, we’re talking hundreds of thousands. Yes, we may be able to reduce that by planking the curve, perhaps to Germany numbers which are remarkable and maybe misleading. Now think of the US. In the States they took a long time before they took any steps.

In the US there are still people buying into theories that it’s all a liberal conspiracy.
It’s all over the continental US by now. So where does the 100,000 to 240,000 number come from?
It’s bullshit. It’s made up.
It’s bad so people get used to bad but it’s just easing us in.

When hospitals are overwhelmed multiply that number by at least 10.

I get that governments want to ease people into this. They are worried about anxiety triggering bad behaviour. Sure. But lies aren’t useful. Many of us are paying attention. We’re not all panicky.
