Going from being someone who usually eats only slightly less eggs daily than Gaston from Beauty and the Beast to someone who hasn't been able to buy eggs for weeks has been an unexpectedly hard part of this whole unsatisfactory bitch of a situation

I mean the chickens are still around, right?? The chickens haven't GONE anywhere. But the huge shop has been out of eggs for so long and honestly I would kill a man for one(1) single egg right now

I'm just saying, in the Before Times, it was not unusual for me to have a boiled egg for breakfast, an egg mayonnaise sandwich for lunch, and then go home in the evening to a dinner of fried eggs and bacon

They were my main source of protein, and I miss them so much
