I just wanna say I don& #39;t know alot of things when it comes to this issue. And I don& #39;t understand anything honestly. I saw posts abt this before I slept but I didn& #39;t paid any attention to it, but now I woke up to people choosing sides and arguing.
If you can explain it to me in detail I would appreciate it very much.
But seeing people so mad and wanting to oust our president I got shocked because I didn& #39;t know Citizens would go this far. Again I didn& #39;t know what made the people so angry so I decided to look for news etc. But it only made me more confused.
From my understanding and from what I& #39;ve read (his full statement) He& #39;s telling people (leftists) not to start unncessary things like riots. Because he wouldn& #39;t hesistate to tell the police to arrest and detain them.
And he orders the military to shoot them dead (Those who are creating chaos amidst of crisis) if the Citizen& #39;s life are put on the line. IF THE CITIZENS LIFE ARE PUT ON THE LINE. I& #39;m gonna put emphasize on that last line because I think he& #39;s doing that to protect his people.
"But shooting his own people isn& #39;t protecting us" But have you ever thought that people who& #39;s creating or gonna create chaos are not protecting us?
and yes that is not what the Filipinos have to hear right now. But I think he was fed up to all the people that was attacking our frontliners, doing a rally without a permit and endangering their own lives.
The rally took place in QC and why they did it? They haven& #39;t received any relief goods from the local goverment. They& #39;re from QC idk i think from secluded areas. The people are wrong for rallying without permits. That& #39;s why they got arrested.
And the QC mayor is wrong for this, very wrong. Because she didn& #39;t make sure that everyone would get the relief goods especially the people who needed it the most.
In amidst of the crisis we have to help each others. And NOT create more chaos please think carefully before you do anything. And for the government please make sure that the local government isn& #39;t stealing the money that you are giving for your people.
There are selfish people. There are people in the government who would take advantage and steal some $$.
The netizens are wrong for not reading the full statement correctly and started fights. Medias are wrong too for not releasing the full statement and making people think differently. The president is wrong too for saying it poorly that the netizens became defensive or threatened
Or scared that turned into anger. I can see where the angers are coming from. I can see why our president had said this too.
Lastly, I am not picking the government& #39;s side or the netizens side. I am not here to pick sides. I am here to hope and pray that our situation gets better and we can finally go back to our daily lives. And here to remember you guys to stay safe and stop doing unnecessary things.
If I said something wrong please tell me. And if I offended you in any ways I& #39;m sorry. I did not make this thread to offend people but to clearly say that both sides has wrongs.
