things armys need to realize: a thread from a multi kpop stan

1. first and foremost, bullying is never okay. it’s not alright for you to come after any idol, no matter what mistake they’ve done in the past. calling out mistakes is okay, but it’s never okay to drag them through the dirt without allowing them to grow from their mistakes. +

+ yes, i am talking about exo’s kai, blackpink’s lisa, nct’s taeyong and stray kids’ bang chan. you cannot tell me that you don’t bully them because i’m in 3/4 of these fandoms and i’ve witnessed it first hand. bullying an idol isn’t ok because it affects their mental health.

2. speaking of bullying, also bullying stan accs for supporting their faves or defending their faves when you attack them, to the point of deactivating, is just not done. sometimes you forget that there are actual people behind these accs, who have mental healths that you damage.

3. tw// again, mental health. you seem to forget about idols’ mental health. i’m talking about chan specifically because he’s my ult and i’m not sure about other idols, but just a few weeks ago armys dragged him for writing 42, calling it a clout chasing song +

+ when it is a predebut song written when they barely had ANY fame. you have absolutely no right to say anything about it, because you have no idea what he was going through when he wrote it. you cant drag him for smth he wrote when he was in a dark place (he said it himself).

4. charting isn’t everything. yes, we know bts is doing very well in the charts, we’re aware and we’re proud of them for making kpop popular everywhere. but chart numbers is not equal to success. i’m not talking about bts, i’m talking about you guys calling other artists flops +

+ when their chart numbers aren’t as good as bts. bangtan is popular on a HUGE level, so obviously their numbers will be very high, but other artists getting lesser chart rankings doesn’t make them anywhere close to a flop. for the kpop industry it’s probably very good charting.

5. again, calling a group “flop” as a comeback just because they don’t have 83829822 album sales and #1 charting everywhere is not it. you’re not funny, and it’s hurtful to both the artists and fans. fucking stop.

6. btspop is not real and never will be. bts is a (very very popular) kpop group because they’re korean nationals and make korean music. also, you denying the fact that they’re kpop is you denying the fact that they’re korean which is kinda insulting to the boys, don’t you think?

7. there are toxic kpop stans, i’m not denying that. but just cause some of us are assholes, doesn’t mean every single kpop stan is a bitch. sadly, that does not apply to you. army tweets hating on other groups get 30k+ likes, while kpop stan tweets hating on bts barely get 300.+

+ in fact, they’ll have 2k+ comments telling them to delete.

8. multis are not the villains you claim we are. none of us throw bts under the bus. we adore the boys, but we will call you out if you’re wrong while defending them. that’s us disagreeing with YOU, not with bts. we still love them all the same.

9. armys don’t run twitter, and never will. jack dorsey (twitter’s ceo) does.

10. you need to realize that armys are a fandom of 24.6M people and other kpop groups have an average following of 5-6M. see the difference? it’s not about laziness in streaming, it’s the fandom size. so keep your superiority complex to yourself and shut up.

11. i’m aware that there are good armys out there (shoutout to yall ur amazing ily) but a vast majority of you are dumbasses who just like bullying other people. just saying.

12. your fave’s success is not your own. brag about it, yes, because you helped bts get there. that’s fine. but don’t walk screaming “bts did this, that” every single day because THEY did that, not you. we’re all proud of the boys for getting where they are, but you’re not them.

13. can we all just get off each others’ backs and live in harmony for once?? please??? 90% of us are tired of logging into twitter and seeing some dumbass army hating on our faves. dragging other groups down never was funny, never is, and never will be.

14. we barely start fanwars. most of the time, it’s you coming into our mentions when we praise our faves. don’t even try denying this one, because it’s true and you know it.

15. don’t be dumb bitches and say that none of you do this, because you absolutely do :)
