I’m trying to remember the name of this book series from middle school

- cover was dark pink & black
- it was about a young witch
- She lived in a tree and didn’t get along with her mom
- instead of “chapter 1” it used Moon phases “Waxing Gibbous”
- journal style writing

When I say she lived in a tree I think it was the base of a big ass old ass tree, not up in the branches and shit

The book and title didn’t have anything to do with the moon I believe, the main character kept up w her journal entries that way
