Ive been deeply disappointed in Tweeple's response to CoVid-19. Q the govt by all means bt plz also think of solutions. We need fresh pairs of eyes on this problem. Here's what i would like to see done.

A thread:

1. 2 week total curfew. noone going out for anything. only essential services providing home deliveries. public needs to adapt & improvise. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! not a holiday. milk, fruits, strolls, puja ARE NOT ESSENTIAL. Put your needs on hold.

with the majority behaving & not throwing a tantrum, emergency services can help those that actually really need it.

2. HELP YOUR FUCKING NEIGHBORS. Seriously, take responsibility. Neighbors aint just for gossiping & bajaoing thalis with.

3. extend lockdown to at least 3 mnts

govt, builders, citizens shud offer their empty flats & homes to the migrants, homeless & urban poor living in shanties. wud be easier to provide food, sanitation & shelter if the admin/volunteers dont hv to run all over town to care for them.

4. hv top med experts compile tutorial videos for use by medical professionals, sanitation workers, ambulance crew, police etc. prepare all current & former docs & med students as well as a reserve of sanitation & emergency workers ready & well informed.

5. press private sector into manufacture of PPE kits, medical equipment, hospital beds, beddings, fans, chairs, mops, soaps, meal kits, incinerators, whatever else is needed in hospitals, shelters, quarantines, isolations.

6. govt shud acquire all harvest, milk etc directly & immediately. in emergency mode. build up govt food stock for PDS. private food, milk cos can acquire from govt stock for supply. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY.

7. Subsidize all farm supplies or make them free. If this drags on around the world, we wont hv options to import food from anywhere else. better to build our own stock JUST IN CASE it drags on.

8. switch off street lights after 9pm. ensure uninterrupted supply to emergency services, hospitals, farms, etc.

9. Give cops drones for surveillance. we dont hv enf cops & a surplus of idiots thinking this is a holiday. giv ppl 3 strikes. if ur caught loitering a third time..

.. ur get taken away to stay at the acquired flats etc.

10. get passenger manifests from all airlines & trace every single traveller that flew into the country. Trace all domestic fliers too just in case. assign them case nos. dedicate call centres to keep in touch with them.

11. use relief funds/other funds earmarked for whatever else for universal basic income. hv experts calculate ideal daily food intake. provide food or UBA per head accordingly. Use municipal/house reg data to calculate cleaning supplies needed per house & supply.

12. govt must issue strict notices to all media houses to stick to scientific facts, ban political angles/guests for debates. take offenders off air. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. Mandatory PSAs to replace all ads on all tv, radio & internet channels.

13. dry heat "MAY" dehydrate aerosolized virus bt we're heading into cooler & AC season. Which is our flu season. Issue advisories for the same.

14. suspend all exams. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. one lost year is better than millions of lost lives.

15. disinfect currency at banks or issue guidelines on how to disinfect at home.
