It’s well established that I’m not a fan of this government, Boris Johnson or Tories in general but when this whole coronavirus situation first kicked off, I did say I wasn’t going to criticise their response to it just because they’re Tories. I said as long as they’re following

the scientific advice, that’s all they can do. I’ve tried really hard to believe they’re handling it correctly but they’re just not. The lack of PPE for frontline NHS staff is appalling. The lack of testing, despite other countries and the WHO imploring them to “test test test”

is just bizarre. And the PM and Health Secretary miraculously recovering from the virus in three days is interesting to say the least.

Then, there’s the refusal to cooperate with the EU. Because we’re still in the transition period, the EU graciously agreed to let us in on the

ventilator scheme as we are desperately short of ventilators and one day, they were saying they won’t because “we’re now an independent nation” (as if we haven’t always been - effing morons) and the next day they claimed they’d actually missed the email. MISSED THE EMAIL.

So, Brexiteers, there you go. Brexshit is more important than getting more ventilators to keep your loved ones alive. 10/10 and slow handclap.

Finally, soundbites don’t cut it during a pandemic. “Ramp up the testing” and “putting our arms around working people” are their

current favourites. Barf. I’ve lost count of the number of times they’ve talked about “ramping up testing” but then not actually ramped up the testing.

We’re not even close to the peak of this yet and we have a grade A buffoon who boasted on TV that he was still shaking hands

with hospital patients and then wanted 60% of us to get it for ‘herd immunity’ leading the fightback.

And please miss me with the whole “this isn’t political, the priority is saving lives” bullshit. This IS political because our lives hang on the decisions politicians are

making. It’s perfectly reasonable and legitimate in a so-called democracy to continue to criticise those in power during an emergency. That’s just obvious.
