Thirteen fined in NSW in the past 24 hours for breaching public health orders, including two men standing next to a road without permission. Also looks like police are using RBT’s to question people why they are in the cars.
Worth noting that three of these infringements are all from one police district in central western NSW. Two are from the town of Coonamble, which has a 34% Indigenous population. Police should be releasing statistics on who is being fined so we can track potential biases.
Sorry but this is absurd. Fining a man for eating a kebab on a bench, and a couple for sitting in their car.
Shout out to this bloke trying to get off by saying he was on his way to his drug dealer
All up 16 people fined so far for breaching public health orders in NSW.

15 of them in regional NSW (mainly western NSW) and western Sydney.

1 in Artarmon (lower north shore).

Playing out how you’d expect.
It’s been less than a week but it’s already obvious that

1) Different LAC’s are enforcing the health orders very differently.
2) They’re disproportionately targeting certain groups.

This was always going to happen because it’s how policing works. They should be wound back.
