is it weird that i'm like........ kinda tired of how every post-apocalyptic story just kinda decides that humanity for the most part just totally breaks down and people become hyper-violent selfish monsters. like. honestly?
i dunno it's just like. in these stories it's always assumed that following the collapse of our current societies the culture that emerges is largely cynical and selfish and violent, that compassion is the (often extremely rare) exception, and it's just........ i'm tired
why do we assume humans as a whole would be inclined to this sort of behavior? why do we accept that at the end of the world we wouldn't help each other? that the "good guys" are so few and far between?
just... thinking. especially because of, you know, everything, nowadays. i dunno. i wish we had more post-apocalyptic stories that said, yeah. humans are compassionate. humans care for one another. we don't just lose that at the first catastrophe that comes our way.
anyways. peninsula looks really neat and i'm excited for it. train to busan is an absolute masterpiece so i'm interested to see where this one goes.
