Sheltering at home isn’t easy. But after spending more time than ever with my 2 year old cat Shams, I’ve managed to pick up some pointers on how to do it right.

Always search for a ray of light or patch of sun amid all the doom and gloom.
This could mean counting your blessings and listing a few things you’re grateful for each day. Or literally finding a sunny spot in your home.

Don’t forget to stretch. Inhale and exhale. Maybe do a yoga or other exercise video on YouTube. But at the very least, stretch your body daily!
Celebrate yourself a little. You’re just as fly now as you were a few weeks ago when you were still wearing normal clothes and putting in effort in how you look!
That said, it’s ok to wear your comfiest clothes day in and day out! Who are you trying to look good for? Linda on Zoom?
Sometimes you need to block out the news for a bit for the sake of your mental health, and that’s ok.
