Can we talk about the current Ghanaian music industry? I have so much on my chest
Guys there’s SO much talent in Ghana. The same ones in Nigeria are the same ones in Ghana, but the only kind of music Ghanaians are pushing are “market woman” music
WHY do we have to listen to that genre all the time? I understand that it sells, but there’s also us the youth that enjoy vibely afrobeats, but they said noooo we must listen to Wendy Shay by force
Also, the big names in the music industry are so greedy. They don’t want to bring new people because they want the focus to be all on them. You see why we’re not moving forward?
These are the same people we’ve been listening to since class 4 and ask yourself if these big guys have ever brought someone new in the industry. All the new guys came by themselves, and they’re only 3.
Guys look at Nigeria, all these new guys (Rema, Joeboy etc), it’s the big names that brought them and introduced them to the public. Why can’t Ghanaian musicians do that?
The ONLY musician doing this in Ghana is Kwesi Arthur and his Ground Up Group. Even Kwasi Arthur is not as big as those guys yet, but look. I would say Mr Eazi but he’s not claiming Ghana again, our industry is so smelly
The Empawa guys from Nigeria are all blowing. What about the Ghanaian ones? We heard Addison and J Derobie, if they were in Nigeria they would’ve really blown. As for Ghana dier, unless it’s hot azonto tracks. Innovation o, God 👏🏽
Guys, Wiz Kid wouldn’t have been where he is now if Banky W didn’t bring him. Which Ghanaian musician has done what Banky W did? The new 3 guys are our only hope now because the old guys dier hm
Hope one of the big guys (or even the new guys) see this and realize there’s money to be made, and diversity to be created in the Ghanaian music industry.
I’m into business consulting, if you want an excellent business plan (music industry wise) and you have money hmu
