Further there is no evidence to hold that Jaichandra had incited the attack. NO MUSLIM HISTORIAN mentions it (see IMAGES https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="⬇️" title="Downwards arrow" aria-label="Emoji: Downwards arrow"> for references) and Prithviraj Rāso has no value as history of Prithviraj. Infact Rāso goes on to give false genealogical record of Chauhan family.

Putting contemporary Mahomedan evidence & Abul Fazal account together, it can be inferred that Jaichandra fought against Muslim forces valiantly & was wounded in battle. In order to avoid being captured led his elephant into Ganga & died by drowning in Ganga while crossing.

Some Indic Sources praising the King Jaichandra:

a) BHAVISHYA PURANA:

b) PRABANDHAKOSA:

Thus undoubtedly Jayachandra was a powerful ruler, great conqueror & patron of poets like Harsa author of Naişadhiya Mahäkävya.
