Story about my amazing wife (1/7)

She works at a grocery store. It’s been an incredibly stressful time for her and her coworkers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so stressed. Today, she came home from work in tears.
(2/7) The store she works at has a one paper product per customer limit. So you can only buy EITHER a pack of paper towels, OR a pack of toilet paper, OR a pack of disinfectant wipes, etc.
(3/7) Today an old man was in the store. She was helping him and let him know about the one paper product per costumer store policy. The man said “ok I guess I’ll just get the wet wipes and will have to come back later for toilet paper. I use these when I go the the cemetery.”
(4/7) That made my wife so sad. She kept an eye on him and watched him walk out to his car with a slight limp. He was very old and not well and clearly, alone. The thought of him having to come back just for toilet paper and put himself at risk was unthinkable to her.
(5/7) She didn’t want to put him in an uncomfortable position and give him and exception when everyone else had to follow the guidelines. So instead, she bought the toilet paper herself and ran it out to his car for him. She refused to take his money for it. He was so grateful.
(6/7) She doesn’t know I’m tweeting this story. She’d probably be mortified if she knew. She did it because it was the right thing to do. She told me this story as tears poured down her face. After, she told me about all the customers who were rude to her today.
(7/7) Let’s just all be good people. Good to my wife. Good to the old man. Good to everyone. Let’s be good. We are all in this together.
