Covid19 Lockdown: Day 13 2/4 @ 0220hrs
THREAD>
- I spent all day Wednesday thinking it was Tuesday.
- A friend who I was having a chat with at 1500hrs yesterday was admitted to ICU at 0800hrs today and is in an induced coma on a ventilator. This is the closest it’s got.

- Auditors are apparently recommending companies plan for shut down for 6 months. Unrealistic that you can keep social order that long so I’m not too worried.
- NHS Nightingale at Excel makes me proud to be British and of our NHS.

- 2 expeditions to the shops has resulted in 0 Crunchies. Stormzy returned with a 5 pack of Fudges today and said “next best thing”. Trust me, it’s not. Lauren showed me a tiktok of how to make Crunchies at home. Lauren shows great promise https://vm.tiktok.com/GnGHaT/
- I’m seriously considering a weight loss programme during this period as I’ve not lost an Oz.
I shall rebase my weight in lbs to 100 and consider what’s a realistic target. More on this in future updates if I can be arsed.
- watched 3 seasons of OZARK very quickly. 5

- I get asked why I wear a scarf on video conference calls and I answer that it’s because I’m cold. The truth is because I’m hiding treble chins.
- Sunday and Monday I had the black dog snapping at my heels. Depression sucks.

- Turkish Bob (entrepreneur that he is) has switched to deliveries, mainly breakfasts. The visual appeal
is complimented with a subsequent vicious assault on the taste buds. I go there for the coffee & chat, not the food.
But faced with a crisis, he adapted. Bravo.

- Shipmans, the local doctors surgery, introduced online booking only which feels a poorly timed thing to introduce during a pandemic as elderly vulnerable people in isolation need to hear a voice.
Mrs
works at Crippens a similar surgery in the next door village. She has no medical skills other than is a good person which a big heart, and I feel a sense of pride and admiration as my little warrior waddles off in the morning to contribute. I’m doing FA. #ashamed

- Our virtual pub drink and curry with Matt the Brush and his Mrs was a lot of fun on Saturday night and likely to be repeated. I recommend but DYOR.
- Trump is now preparing the US for 100-240k deaths. I think because when it comes in lower he can spin it as a win. COCK.

- I have purchased my first item on Instagram like the millennials do. I’m excited about getting a £20 pressure washer attachment for the hose any day now as the Patio needs cleaning and the Karcher has Covid19.
- A friend rang from Spain. He’s 90% cash. This is probably my third crash and on the last two I swore I’d be better prepared and have more liquidity. Nope. If I make it to a 4th I will have more liquidity.
- I hear home invasions are down, whereas office burglaries are well up as is in store “shrinkage” (aka theft). Is this thieving arseholes taking advantage of a crisis, or first sign unemployment is rocketing and people need food to survive? Foodbanks also under pressure.

Re above, I fully expect Turkish Bob to be offering cheap toner cartridges when he properly reopens. His authentic Marlboro Gold (200 for £9) still keep most of the village coughing. He’s a young man trying to build an empire, has a good heart and the community love him.
