What magical thing do elite Dem Party establishment think will happen if Bernie dropped out today?

Will Biden suddenly look like a compelling candidate for some reason? Will he change any of his policy or performance? Will he suddenly start actually campaigning or leading?

If Bernie dropped out and endorsed Biden today, that wouldn't change anyone's support for Biden, media are already treating Biden like the presumptive nominee and ignoring Bernie. What do Dems think is going to change? What magical power does Bernie have that's holding them back?

Bernie is taking charge. He's live-streaming expert roundtables, raising millions of dollars for COVID-19 charities, using his volunteers to give voters information and to rally for legislation, and more.

Why isn't Biden? What are they waiting for?

Something a lot of powerful Democrats don't seem to understand is that many people feel like there's nothing left to lose.

They have no healthcare, no income, massive debt, are food and housing insecure, their families are being deported or locked up.

You can't scare people into supporting Biden because they're already living in a hell created by Democrats and Republicans, and by 8 years of Biden himself.

Biden explicitly promises to do nothing to fundamentally change things, nothing to help the most vulnerable people.
