Donald Trump says domestic violence is started when a “husband” loses his job and turns to drugs and violence. He doesn’t mention his administration’s recommendation that gun stores be considered essential businesses during the coronavirus crisis, making women more vulnerable.

The Senate’s failure to act on VAWA for an entire year - as of this coming Saturday - has also served as a death sentence for many American women. This inaction by Senator McConnell and his @NRA-allies in the Senate is unforgivable.
