With @Seven_0f_Spades blessing, I will be writing fantasy bakufem!deku w/ dragon!baku and princess Deku ╰(◡‿◡✿╰) based loosely on her SerOchako fantasy fic. Btw, I’m loving these Ochako rare pairs recently 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Izuku didn’t know how she got here. Well, she knew how, but it was still so unfathomable... she had been on her way to a neighboring kingdom to get married to Prince Shotou, to unite their kingdoms and mostly to protect Izuku’s people.
Apparently, there were those who opposed the union, and their traveling party was attacked. She managed to get away, pushing her horse to exhaustion as she tried to escape with her life. She took off towards the mountains, and snow began to fall, leaving her hopelessly lost.
She was horribly ill equipped to survive out here. She had been in a warm carriage, leaving her in only a flimsy dress, plus, the horse she had taken had little supplies with her. She had no idea which direction her or the Todoroki kingdoms were, so she had no choice but to pick-
-a random direction and hope for the best. She cursed her female royal upbringing, because she hadn’t the first clue how to survive on her own, how to hunt, how to fight, anything. She choked on a sob as she buried her face in her horses main as the realization she was going -
-to die hit her. Her poor mother would think she was dead, which was an even worse fate than being sold off to a neighboring kingdom. She wandered around for hours, shivering violently as the wind blew sharply against her, the snow growing thicker and thicker.
A mighty roar shook her to her bones, rattling the earth beneath them as her horse reared up in surprise, throwing her off and bolting in the opposite direction of the roar. She choked on a sob as she saw a large, dark figure approach her through the snow, frantically trying-
-to escape. But what was the point? She was going to die one way or another. She shivered violently, whether from fear or from the cold, she didn’t know, as the beast drew closer. She was able to make out a few features, dark and light scales, massive wings, and piercing red eyes
She closed her eyes and tried to suppress a sob, waiting for the killing blow, and squeaked in surprise as a hard, firm grip wrapped around her. It was warm, and surprisingly gentle, before, with a mighty gust of wind, they were suddenly soaring through the air.
She shrieked in fear, clutching desperately to one of his fingers, claws? as they flew. Her heart hammered in her chest, wondering what was to become of her. After some time, how much had passed she couldnt tell, her adrenaline wore off, and she passed out from exhaustion.

When she woke up, she was warm. Not the kind of warm were she was sweaty and gross, but the comfortable kind, the perfect balance between warm and cool. Her brain finally woke up properly, and she began to panic. Oh god, she had been kidnapped by a dragon!
She almost wanted to laugh as trope of dragons stealing princesses came to mind. She sat up, the furs falling off of her, but she wasn’t very cold. She looked down at her ruined gown and grabbed another fur, wrapping it around her shoulders as she got to her feet.
Her legs felt fuzzy and numb as she stepped out of what she assumed was a large nest, and she had to lean against the cavern wall to keep upright. She looked around the cave she was in, surprised to see it was actually well furnished. It was like columns carved in the stone.
She heard noises coming from outside, and she turned her head to the entrance of the cave. With her hand splayed against the smooth wall, she wobbled forward, stepping out of the cave, noticing she was high up on a ledge. She carefully made her way to the edge and peered over.
“Woah,” she gasped in awe, her eyes going wide in surprise. There were dragons, everywhere. Down in the flat valley bellow, were dragons of all sorts lounging around, laid out sunning themselves or taking a dip in one of the many steaming hot springs. She couldn’t believe it!
She’d never seen a real life dragon, and here she was, surrounded by hundreds of them.

A massive roar broke her thoughts, making all the dragons raise their heads to the sky. She looked up as well, curious as to what they were looking at, stumbling backwards in shock as an-
-utterly massive dragon soared above them, circling a few times before making to land on the ledge she was standing on. She stumbled backwards towards the cave’s opening, falling backwards as the gust from the creatures wings, coupled with her unsteady legs, sent her t the ground
She looked up at the incredibly large dragon that had landed above her. It had ash blond/gold scales with black accents around its feet, face, horns and tail. It was three times bigger than the biggest horse she’d ever seen, and it’s wings were nine times the length.
She was in awe of it’s beauty, even if she felt like she would melt under it’s red, piercing, surprisingly intelligent gaze. It swung it’s head to the side and roared at the onlooking dragons, startling them and averting their gazes before it turned back to her.
She was too awestruck to saw anything, her eyes roaming over it’s body, and it seemed to puff up under her gaze before their eyes met once again. She felt a shiver run through her as he seemed to inspect her, and she flushed in embarrassment as he sniffed at her.
He snorted at her before opening his mouth, but before she could finish the thought ‘oh gods I’m going to be eaten’, he had grabbed the back of her dress and furs and picked her up. She shrieked in surprise, kicking wildly as he began padding into the cave.
She stopped struggling as he set her back down in the nest, nosing the furs back onto her, which was awkward because his head was as big as her entire body. Taking the hint, she piled the furs back on, making him let out a nice, pleased noise. He turned and began walking-
-through another cavern within the cave, one she hadn’t seen before, and disappeared. Well, mostly. Despite the accommodating space of the cavern, the dragon was incredibly long, his tail still loosely wrapped around the nest she was sat in. She heard a jangling, metallic noise-
-accompanied by a scraping sound, and before she knew it, he was turning back around to her, something clutched in his left forepaw. Forehand? Foreleg? Whatever, he was holding something. He walked over to her and held his paw out, revealing to her the most beautiful dress she’d-
-ever seen, accompanied by gorgeous jewels and necklaces. She looked at the display with wide eyes before looking back up at the dragon. He made a motion with his head and held the dress out to her.

“Do you,” she croaked, pausing to clear her throat, “do you w-want me to have-
-this?” she asked, mildly surprised when he nodded at her. Tentatively, she reached out and took the dress and jewelry, marveling at how lovely the fabric was. She squeaked as he nosed the dress towards her, confusing her.

“D-do you want me to w-wear it?” she asked.
He nodded again, and she blushed in embarrassment. She looked up to see his intent stare, and her blush deepened. “C-can I get some privacy?” she asked. To her surprise, he huffed and rolled his eyes, but turned away and left the cave, spreading his wings as he took flight.
Confused, she shook her head and quickly got changed. The fabric felt exquisite and was form fitting without being constricting. She also liked the hood.

(Here’s the dress, and the link https://dawnsmedievaldresses.co.uk/celtic-medieval-pagan-hooded-handfasting-wedding-dress-green-p-1044.html)
She turned her head as she saw movement out of the corner of her vision, spotting the dragon w/ something in his mouth. He looked her over as he re entered the cave, letting out a light croon at her before setting what appeared to be a bag down. Confused, she opened it, and was-
-surprised to see a canteen and some meats.

“What?” she asked, looking at him in confusion. “How, how did you get this?” she questioned. Where did a dragon get cooked meat and a canteen? he huffed at her in annoyance and gestured at it with his forepaw.
She decided not to question further and began to eat, moaning at finally being able to eat. It felt like it had been days since her last meal, and it very well could be given she didn’t know how long she’d been asleep. As she ate and drank her fill, the dragon curled around-
-the nest, nudging his head against her as he curled his tail around them. Awkwardly, she used one of her hands to pet the top of his head, because what else was she to do? She stroked the scales on top of his head, marveling at the warmth he emitted, and was mildly surprised-
-at the pleased sound he made, a sound deep in his throat, something like a massive fur. She huffed a surprised laugh as he closed his eyes at her touch, leaning into her as he tucked his paws beneath him. This felt like a dream, a very strange, weird dream.
She soon finished her food, feeling full and quenched and very tired. The warmth emanating off the dragon was enough to help lull her into another sleep, so she leaned against the beast, and closed her eyes, and drifted off.

When Izuku woke, she was alone in the nest, but heard a few chittering noises coming from the -
-opening of the cave. Curious, she sat up and walked to the opening, taking note that the sky was darker than before. She peaked her head out to look around, and let out a surprised squeak when she saw a group of small dragons huddled together, looking at her with wide eyes.
They all stood frozen, staring at each other with wide eyes, before the biggest one of the group leaned forwards to sniff at her. She stayed still as the rest of them, she assumed they were baby dragons given their size, began to inspect her. They pressed their noses and snouts-
-to her, chittering and ‘murr’ing at her as they began to grow excited. They began to jump excitedly, play bowing at her as they leapt around. They, they wanted to play with her? They nipped at her dress and fingers as she began to laugh, unable to believe her eyes.
Gods, she was playing with baby dragons. Baby dragons! She laughed again, this was so cool! She ran around the ledge with them, laughing when they tumbled and rolled around. Suddenly, a low rumble startled the dragonlings, and they cowered as the ash blond and black dragon-
-climbed up onto the ledge. He growled, baring his razor sharp teeth at them before letting out a short roar, scaring them away and sending them running. He huffed out of his nose as he watched them go before turning back to her. She gasped as he leaned his head down to her-
-stomach, sniffing at her and inspecting her. She blushed and squeaked as his massive snout pressed against her chest and between her legs.

“H-hey! Stop that!” she chastised, trying to push him away, with little success. He snorted at her, and she felt like he was laughing.
He gently picked her up by the back of the dress again and carried her back to the nest, carefully setting her down.

“You dont have to pick me up like that,” she huffed at him as she brushed off her dress. He made a snorting sound, what she assumed was his laughing.
She tried to step out of the nest, but let out a shriek as he nosed her back into it.

“Hey!” she gaped. “What was that for?” she asked as she tried to get up. He growled at her and pushed her back in, glaring at her angrily. She frowned at him and tried to get up.
He snapped at her and stomped his feet into the ground, shaking his head angrily, slapping his tail against the walls and the ground. Her jaw dropped and her eyes widened in surprise as the realization hit her.

“Oh, my gods,” she huffed out with a laugh, “are you throwing a-
-tantrum?” He gave her a surprised look before roaring at her, but she couldnt stop herself from laughing. When she wouldn’t stop, he used one of his forepaws to press her gently into the nest before turning and walking into the hidden smaller cave.
He began bringing gold to her, gold and so many coloured jewels, dropping them into the nest and into her lap. She looked up at him in confusion as he looked at her expectantly.

“Um, thank you,” she said awkwardly. He puffed up his chest at that and made a happy crooning noise.
It was actually pretty cute, seeing him posture like that. But, she sighed. She was in a foreign place on her own, with no one to talk to and no one to communicate with. He warbled at her sadly, nosing at her her stomach.

“S-sorry,” she sniffled, hugging his head.
“I just,” she hiccuped, wiping at her tears. “It’s just, I’m the only human here. I’m scared. What if the people who tried to kill me come for me? What if you eat me?” He grumbled at her and shook his head, flattening her into the nest and curling around her.
“S-sorry,” she sniffled. “I’m just scared,” she said softly, absentmindedly stroking his head as he purred.

She didnt realize she had fallen asleep until she opened her eyes. She sat up quickly, looking around for the dragon, and screamed when she saw a man -
-where the dragon had been. She startled him awake, and he looked at her with wide red eyes.

“Who’re you!?” she shrieked, stumbling to her feet as she pressed herself against the cavern wall.

“Wait,” he growled lowly, getting to his feet.
“who are you!? Where’s the dragon!?” she asked.

“Relax,” he growled as he walked closer to her, placing his hands on either side of her head. “It’s me.”

“Wh-who?”

“The dragon,” he said, his voice low and gravely.

“Wh-what?” she asked, surprised.
“Isn’t this what you wanted?” he asked. “You wanted someone to talk to. So I did this.”

“Wh-what...?” she asked, sliding down against the wall in confusion. He snorted at her and scooped her up in his arms before sitting in the nest with her in his lap.
“My name is Katsuki,” he explained, his voice rumbling in his chest. “I’m the King of Dragons.” Her eyes widened at that admission, the King of Dragons!? That was incredible! “This is where my people live. When you wandered into my territory, I smelled you, and decided to save u.
“Wh-why did you bring me here?” she asked.

“Mine,” he said, rubbing his cheek against her. “I want you to be mine.”

“E-eh!?” she shrieked, pushing him away. “Wh-what do you mean!?”

“Dragons have a destined mate,” he explained to her. “Only one, we recognize them via smell.
I could tell by your smell that you’re my true mate.”

“M-mate?” she repeated, her head spinning from the information.

“Well, you’re not my official mate, yet,” he explained. “I still have to court you properly.”

“I-is that what the gifts were for?” she asked, looking down at-
-her dress.

“No,” he said, “not yet. Mine,” he repeated, rubbing their cheeks together. “My mate, my treasure. Mine.” She sighed and leaned into him, the information overwhelming her.

“Wh-what if I don’t want to be yours?” she asked, making him whine like he was in pain.
“I-I won’t force you,” he said, sniffling as he nuzzled her sadly. “I’ll take you back where I found you, if you don’t want me...” her heart broke at his words and expression. “But, I want you to stay, please, don’t go yet,” he told her quietly.
She felt at a loss. On one hand, she didnt want to immediately jump into a relationship with someone she didnt know, especially with a dragon! But, Katsuki had been so kind to her so far, surely it wouldn’t hurt to let him court her, right?

“I can?” he asked, his head perking up
-at her.

“Eh?” she asked before her eyes widened and her face flushed. “Oh my gods, did I say that out loud?” He nodded and she hid her face in her hands. He let out a rumbled laugh and nuzzled against the top of her head.
“Can, um,” she spoke, feeling a bit awkward. “C-can you tell me more? About you, and, dragons?”

“I was hoping you’d tell me about you,” he answered. “I don’t even know your name. Ive just been calling you Deku.”

“Wha!? Deku?” she balked at him as he chuckled. “You’ve been-
“-calling me useless!?” He laughed again, a deep, rumbling noise, it made her heart warm in her chest.

“Yes, we have,” he smiled at her. “We didn’t know your name.”

“We? You mean, you and the other dragons?” He nodded. “Well, um, my name is actually Izuku. Midoriya Izuku.”
“Midoriya? Like, the human Kingdom?” he asked, cocking a brow at her.

“Yes, I’m the princess,” she informed him. “I was on my way to marry Prince Shotou, and our caravan was attacked. I barely escaped.”

“Tch, lucky me,” he scoffed, lifting his chin.
“I deserve you more than those Todoroki bastards,” he said. She laughed at his words. “If he cannot protect his mate, he’s not worthy. You deserve better.” She blushed at the praise and looked to the side. “I would never let any harm come to you, Izuku,” he spoked softly.
“I-I believe you,” she nodded, swallowing nervously. He purred happily and rubbed their faces together. He smelt like spices and fire. “I guess I’m going to be a queen one way or another,” she muttered to herself, making him laugh.
“Not just ‘a’ queen, ‘the’ queen, of dragons,” he said, puffing his chest up proudly. “Anyways, are you hungry?” he asked.

“Oh, no, I’m-“ her stomach chose that moment to let out a loud growl. “Um, excuse me,” she apologized with a blush. He merely chuckled at her.
