Feel free to RT/ignore, but it may be interesting/useful.

As some of my friends know, myself & my house have been self-isolating. My housemate started feeling ill a couple of weeks ago: initially a headache, cough, then fever, muscle aches, tiredness & eventually loss of smell.
Shortly after my other housemate got similar symptoms and I then followed suit third. But the interesting thing is the severity.

On its own, I would never have said I’d had Corona. Generally I felt okay in myself. I continued to work, wasn’t bed bound & I still had an appetite.
But when combined with what my housemates were feeling, the likelihood of me not having corona when it looked like they did, was very slim if not impossible.

Since getting symptoms, I’ve seen a lot about severity/viral load/asymptomatic corona and more.
Basically, it comes in many forms - life threatening, severe, mild or even almost unnoticeable.

I had a continual dull headache & very infrequent cough. No sore throat, no fever. But then I started getting chills now & again, muscle aches, general tiredness & eventually...
...blocked sinuses and a loss of smell/taste. My asthma also worsened. It lasted a week start to end. It basically felt like an extended 6/10 hangover.

Please note: I haven’t had any confirmation that I’ve had it
Not been tested, no guarantees.
BUT, I’d say it’s more likely than not, purely from the sheer volume of symptoms we’ve shown. But that doesn’t mean everyone will & this is the point.

Coronavirus is like any other & is shows itself in various severities for different people. It isn’t horrendous for everyone.
If you’re suffering *some* symptoms then you may well have it and the person you pass it on to may get it much more severely.

This isn’t a “woe is me”. I’m very lucky in that IF I have had it, it was mild & far from life threatening or even damaging in my day to day life really.
But that’s my point: it may not be as bad for you as it is for some.

Be safe, stay at home, and if in doubt, self isolate.

I’ve not been out the house in 13 days. It’s shit, but if I have had it, then at least I know I haven’t passed it on.
563 people died in the last 24 hours. Don’t risk being the reason that number continues to rise.
