is it just me, or does ACNH feel like it was barely playtested? or is it was, the feedback was not applied. I've been thinking this since i started playing but the egg day event really puts it in perspective--it feels like the numbers are all off, the interface is not smooth, etc
there are WAY TOO MANY egg spawns. if they had tested this, they would've known! why can't i write multiple letters and send them all? i have to go through ALL the menus again to type in a new Dodo Code! why doesn't it confirm when you press cancel/B out of a changed town theme?
why can't i craft multiple things at once? why can i use the touch screen to draw on the message board, but i have to use the controller for the designs? dialogs don't work with touch screen, that seems like a massive oversight... etc etc etc
I'm having a lot of fun and some of the things are fantastic, but still! i even forgot to mention that the "starting tutorial" song sticks around for WAY too long, to the point that i had to ask a time traveling friend if hourly themes are even in the game at all!
oh yeah there is that too 🤣 https://twitter.com/Vallu111/status/1245494143964467201?s=19
I've played animal crossing GC a ton, so i know the game features what I'd call "intentionally tedious design" in order to slow you down, but... that's one thing, and imo this is another. also the game has you do SO MUCH, it doesn't feel all that interested in slowing you down
