Went for walk and greeted a friendly little cat I’ve met a few times. A neighbor kid came over and struck up a conversation. He informed me that my cat friend’s name is ELROY. Elroy is a real charmer.
Elroy is currently dealing with a new challenge, according to my source: his people have recently acquired a PUPPY, which may help explain why Elroy seeks attention from passersby.
The neighbor kid agrees with me that pets are a lifeline during this pandemic; his grandma, for example, absolutely dotes on her dog. Personally, he doesn’t need a pandemic puppy, he says, because he has three sisters. I have a feeling someone has fed him this line.
Went for a walk.
Met a cat. An orange one! I thought he was shy but as soon as I spied him and said hello, he slipped through a hole in the fence and greeted me as though we were old friends.

Went for a walk. Met five crows. Not at all ominous or anything.
Took a walk to clear my head and to say hello to George. This time I remembered to bring a treat with me.
Went for a short walk just to congratulate this special neighborhood goofball, who now comes running to me from his yard when he sees me coming. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-modern-heart/202009/why-orange-cats-are-special-according-science
