Went for a walk. Met a cat—a real character.
Excellent form
Went for walk and greeted a friendly little cat I’ve met a few times. A neighbor kid came over and struck up a conversation. He informed me that my cat friend’s name is ELROY. Elroy is a real charmer.
Elroy is currently dealing with a new challenge, according to my source: his people have recently acquired a PUPPY, which may help explain why Elroy seeks attention from passersby.
The neighbor kid agrees with me that pets are a lifeline during this pandemic; his grandma, for example, absolutely dotes on her dog. Personally, he doesn’t need a pandemic puppy, he says, because he has three sisters. I have a feeling someone has fed him this line.

On my walk today, I actually had the pleasure of encountering TWO cats I’d never met before. I called out to this fine buff tabby when I spotted it in an alley and it just came trotting up swiftly, ready to make friends.
