We’re old enough to remember when HHS Secretary Alex Azar said that the risk of the coronavirus to Americans “remains low” due to the president’s “efforts.”

That was just one month ago.

Today, April 1st, we have more than 200,000 COVID-19 cases and over 4,000 deaths.
On March 2, Trump claimed America surpassed the world with its readiness to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, the number of coronavirus-related deaths tops 5,000⁣.
In his remarks on March 3rd, President Trump downplayed the global crisis around the virus, saying it would "work out."

One month later, our cases top 250,000 and deaths have exceeded 6,000.

Hint: It’s not going to just “work out.”

On March 6th, Kellyanne Conway claimed the novel coronavirus crisis in the U.S. was "being contained."

Today, the death toll has surpassed 10,000 with experts saying the true number might actually be much higher.⁣
The same night Trump unknowingly met with a Brazilian aide who later tested positive for COVID-19, he told reporters he was “not concerned at all” about the virus spreading in D.C.

One month, 370,000 cases and 11,000 deaths later, we hope the president is very concerned.
On March 8, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson claimed COVID-19 symptoms would be more flu-like or mild for most people in spite of the many cases of severe respiratory issues already reported around the globe.⁣

Nearly 13,000 Americans who contracted the coronavirus have died.
President Trump took to Twitter a month ago to compare COVID-19 to the common flu.

He complained that "nothing [was] shut down" when there were 37,000 flu deaths in 2019.

Since that tweet on March 9th, there have been over 15,000 coronavirus deaths.
"We're doing a great job with it," said President Trump on March 10th. "It will go away."

But one month later, guess what?

We have over 460,000 cases and a death toll above 16,000 that continues to grow by the day.

It's safe to say the coronavirus will not just "go away."

"Because of what I did and what the administration did with China, we have 32 [COVID-19] deaths at this point," Trump said.

Sadly, that number has rapidly increased. As of April 12, there have been 21, 418 coronavirus related deaths in America.
“I don’t take responsibility at all.”

That’s what President Trump said last month when confronted with the lack of coronavirus testing. Instead, he blamed President Obama.

Now there are over 550,000 cases. And last we checked, Obama isn’t president. Take responsibility, Trump.
