We need to change the conversation. There are few ventilators, so ppl argue that disabled ppl shouldn& #39;t be given a fair shot to life because our chances are deemed less good (debatable) & our & #39;quality of life& #39; is already viewed as unbearable for most able-bodied people 1/

It becomes a balloon argument about who we chuck to their deaths, and who is more worthy of staying alive. Instead, let& #39;s remember compassion for the weakest in society.

Let& #39;s remember that almost one in five WORKING AGE people are disabled and being told their lives are not worth fighting for (and neither are they & #39;worth& #39; providing delivery slots or essential care for.) 3/
Disability and age make us more vulnerable, but let& #39;s remember at the same time that poverty kills, and pressure combined with mental illness kills, and not set one vulnerable group against the other in Hunger Games competition style. 4/
Let& #39;s change the conversation from & #39;who gets the ventilators& #39; to & #39;how can we make more ventilators& #39;. Let& #39;s change the conversation from & #39;how can we protect the strongest& #39; to & #39;how can we protect us all& #39;. 5/
Let& #39;s change the conversation from & #39;should old people die or NHS workers& #39; to & #39;let& #39;s get PPE for NHS workers.& #39; Let& #39;s kick up, not down, and pummel those with power and resources to be sacrificial, not those who have already given up so much. We need to change the conversation. END
