Property is a social relationship ultimately dependent on the sanction & protection of the State. In Canada all land is ultimately owned by the State & subject to the Expropriation Act. Property has no value independent of the society & locale it finds itself within.

#landlords depend on society as a whole more than they do any particular tenants or rental income. Rent is extortion and the passing onto society of private costs as a public/social burden.
