We're Coal Country here - at least 2 active coal mines miles from where I live
Deep red state, majority middle-aged and elderly population, not the best educated.

Poor population for the most part, but the biggest problem is the intense tribalism present here - you can't go 4 feet without being hissed out of some new clique. And it's *everywhere.*

I should add that it's a vast majority white population, too. So, after living here for ~20+ years, it makes sense why these people would want to re-elect him - he greatly appeals to their sense of clique-ish tribalism, but on a national scale, read, nationalism.

If you ever wanted to see the Boomer mindset in action, you need only come here, and I'm guessing most other rural areas of Pennsylvania, too. It's very much a mindset of "Fuck you, I got mine," or more accurately, " Fuck you, I haven't gotten mine yet. "
