I have a question.

#NYC went through 9/11. In the months and years that followed, we constantly heard about disaster preparation. We were told that our city of *8 million people* could be attacked again at any moment, by *bioweapons*, by poison gas, by nuclear laced bombs.

Hundreds of billions of dollars were spent. Entire agencies created. Cops everywhere. Stop and frisk.

WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T WE HAVE A MASSIVE STOCKPILE OF PPE AND LIFE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT?!

If our governments were so concerned for our safety that they had to stop every black kid with a backpack in the subway and cavity search our grandmothers at the airport, why the hell wasn't there a plan to deal with MASS CASUALTIES OF A BIOHAZARD?

WHY?

I'm serious. All these years, I assumed the city- not the Federal government, not the CDC or FEMA,
but @nycgov *itself* had a PLAN for us in case of a biological disaster.

Trump's a terrorist.

We were allegedly *prepared for terrorists.*

All that supposed strategic planning. But there's no biohazard plan and no cache of supplies in case there was no time to call D.C. or in case outside supply lines were cut off somehow.

So, to sum up: Civil liberties were impinged in the name of *near-certain* future catastrophe and a fuck ton of money was spent in the name of safety but there was no acquisition of the things we would need to save lives during said catastrophe. In a city of 8 million.

OK.

#NewYorkCity when this is all over, we need to ask some tough questions and not rest until we get answers.
