Today the Federal Register published some documents regarding military response to COVID-19. Not criticizing this, but I think it's important to keep track of these actions. On 3/27 Trump issued an EO giving the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard authority to

On 3/28 & 3/30 he issued memorandums funding 100% of National Guard emergency response in 10 states/territories: FL, LA, MA, MD, NJ, CT, MI, IL, PR, and Guam. He also requested Governors comply with FEMA's assignments on how to handle the emergency.
Previously Trump had issued an identical order for CA, NY, and WA, so this is 13 total states/territories. While I see some news sources referring to these actions as Trump federalizing the National Guard, the memos clearly state that he is supporting the Governor's actions, not taking complete control. No info so far on what FEMA

On 4/2 Trump extended the National Guard memos to cover GA, HI, IN, MO, NH, NM, OH, RI, TN, TX, and the Virgin Islands. This brings it to a total of 24 states/territories. Forgot to update this thread, but on 4/7 the order was expanded to 13 new states: AZ, CO, KY, MS, MT, NV, NC, OR, PA, SC, VA, WI, and WV.
