So I saw some notions that white is destructively self-less, especially noted by the finale. I wonder if that’s out of a newfound sense of guilt? Maybe she’s trying to make it up to Steven because she secretly desires a connection she once had with pink?

Like white clearly recognizes the negative impact she’s had on EVERYONE. And with her accepting the fact that she does have emotions, a wave of guilt also overcame her. And I think she fell into really self destructive habits to make up for the immensity of her past actions.

So she lets gems so WHATEVER they wanted to her, knowing very well she could be hurt/made a fool/killed in that process. Yet time and time again she tries to make up for her past actions. However I think part of it is like- a messiah complex?

She was like “oH me I’m doing woNders for making yo for my terrible behavior. Look what I’m doing to make up for it!” In an effort to reconnect with Steven. She thinks that if she can counter the bad she’s done, maybe Steven will “forgive” her.

But I guess white doesn’t understand how unforgivable her actions have been. She admits to it but, part of her still yearns for the closeness she once had with her family but, she severely messed it up. And since Steven is “not like anyone else” there’s little chance it’ll fix.

It’s just so astounding to see a character who once put her own beliefs and ideals above everyone DESPERATELY try to connect with those she mocked. And of course it was because she had a warped sense of perfection- that she HAD to be perfect.

It’s a little unsettling honestly- but in an interesting way. Like, she can’t really live with the fact that someone won’t forgive her, or at best tolerate her, and she was so against tolerating everyone. I think she truly is understanding why her actions were WHACK because-

Of Stevens influence. Stevens lack of forgiveness is what is making her think “oh, so this is how they felt”. Someone they looked up to- let’s say yellow and blue- can only barely tolerate them. This whole thing is getting shot right back at her, and she can’t really handle it.

Like it was funny to see whites dramatic crying but THInk about it. She thought emotion was imperfect, gross, undesirable. In 2 years she went from stagnant to bursting into tears. She’s EONS old. For her to literally tear herself apart for what she’s done in front of-

Those she hurt shows how BADLY she felt. And we also have to consider this is a cartoon, realistically people would’ve stayed mad lmao. But I think white truly is in great pain. She finally know what it FEELS like to be treated the way she treated others, and now

She only has a numbing sense of pain left with her. She’s isolated herself from her family. Her, blue, and yellow were all abusive to pink, and realizing it was HER FAULT was too much to handle. Gems just- don’t die. Unless they’re shattered. A diamond? Dying?

Literally inconceivable. She caused something that should have NEVER happened to happen. And now she has to live with it.
