Told that the onus to 'trace' people others have been in contact with is on the person who contracted the virus. A man with an intellectual disability tested positive in hospital and @WAHealth sent him off to tell the world. Only he didn't, he was very sick. #Covid_19australia
2/ And here is the tension - when you contracted this in your supported employment place of work, will you be believed? Nobody generally believes us. There is no letter from health or the hospital. Who will support us to tell others we are in contact with, then to self isolate?
3/ People are going to be locked up after they fail to self isolate because nobody supported them. They will be put in already overcrowded prisons, putting prisoners at risk - I might also mention that prisoners in WA are overwhelmingly First Nations people.
4/ It is interesting that @Dssgovau are technically in charge of the sheltered workshops til July, @EngageDSSgovau you might like to have a chat about the reputational damage that the death of the disabled ppl the public are being told are being protected is going to cause you.
5/ You might also like to consider what kind of legal action, ADEs, is going to be taken against you via workers compensation. Fair game really, because there is no way you can argue that most of the work here is 'essential services'. Prepacked furniture and Qantas headphones.
6/ You know Activ told their workers when they fly Qantas they should open the headphones so they had to be re packaged, so they keep disabled people being commodified for under $5 an hour in those places?

And what will happen when you close? Because you MUST provide support.
7/ Let us abandon all pretence that the places you put us in with others were ever homes.Let us just dismiss the idea that these were ever real jobs. Minimum wage or not, we didn't have unions, we didn't have protection, we didn't have workers rights. Let's forget that right now.
8/ You MUST CLOSE all sheltered workshops, ADEs, across Australia IMMEDIATELY, @ScottMorrisonMP. This is a DSS funded program and insisting that the work the people do there is essential is untrue and you are putting the vulnerable at risk. This is immoral behaviour on your part.
9/ If you normals are at home giving up your jobs and lives because of us, allegedly, to keep the old and sick and disabled well - then it should ENRAGE you to know that this was all just a lie, that they were doing it just to keep voters happy.

Australia is better than this.
