I intend to ruin this shameless piece of self-aggrandizement, one claim at a time. Let's see how far I manage to go with this. Read on... https://twitter.com/BJP4Karnataka/status/1245245008715943941

"8th Jan: India holds first mission meeting with experts."

No such "meeting" reported in the media. Jan 8 was the day of 2020's first pan-India labor strike though. Also, this says literally nothing. What meeting? What was the outcome? What was the agenda?

"17th Jan: India begins screening all passengers from China."

Only 3 airports: Delhi, Bombay, and Kolkata. There's 27 other international airports in the country, many of them receiving flights from China/HK.

"25th Jan: PM's Principal Secretary chairs high-level review meet."

Again, outcome? Meetings happen all the time. What tangible came out of it? This meet was attended by a certain Rajiv Gauba. This name will surface later.

"1st Feb: India begins evacuation from abroad."

Good job, although China had already recorded over 14k positives by then. Much critical time was lost.

"3rd Mar: At just 6 cases, universal screening started."

Know how many were you testing at that point? Fewer than 4 per million. Where would the cases come from? Don't treat anyone, you'll be sitting at 0 cases. Helps? Also, Paracetamol.

"4th Mar: PM Modi tweets, no Holi gatherings."

You seriously don't want us to take a tweet as some kind of tangible policy action, do you? Okay, maybe you do, but that's not how governance works. Sorry.

"7th Mar: PM reviews status. New quarantine guidelines issued."

Alas, those guidelines did precious little to prevent this:

"22nd Mar: All trains, buses suspended. India capable of 50k tests/week."

50,000 tests a week. Impressive. How many we DID test though? As of Mar 31, a grand total of 11,203. Not impressive anymore, is it?

"27th Mar: RBI announces 'huge' relief including 3-month moratorium on all loan installments."

You and your adjectives. What moratorium if you're gonna charge interest for those 3 months anyway, PLUS add 3 extra months to the loan term? You're basically capitalizing!

In your long list of "achievements" you forgot to mention how you were busy toppling democratically elected governments when people were suffering. You also forgot to mention how your leader used food packages as personal billboards.

And finally, you forgot to mention how your leaders rebelled against their own boss' lockdown diktat with carefree abandon.
You can follow @Schandillia.
