1/ This is an important thread that I pray goes viral...everybody needs to see this.

I am part of a television newsroom. In our environment, we work close together. We sit shoulder to shoulder in meetings. We share computers. Then Coronavirus struck.
2/ My station took immediate steps to follow and even exceed the @CDCgov guidelines. People were immediately instructed to start working from home. Hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes were placed all over the building. People social distanced. Then one of us tested positive.
3/ Our afflicted news anchor’s last day at work was Tuesday, March 17th. On that day, he was starting to feel sick. Because he didn’t present “classic” COVID-19 symptoms, he didn’t get tested for a week. On Tuesday, March 24th, he tested positive.
4/ The news team that worked with him was immediately quarantined for two weeks. The only question left was: how many more of us would get it?
The answer is: NONE. Today, some of the team returned to the anchor desk.

Listen up, America...everything we’ve been telling you to do WORKS. Sure, there are no guarantees. But my station prevented countless infections by adopting and following rigorous standards.
5/ The tweets from doctors and nurses are frightening. Remember that if you are hospitalized, family and friends can’t be there with you. You are facing this alone. You could die alone.

Stay home, practice social distancing, wash your hands, and share this thread. #COVID19
