also for everyone asking, i’m indian and i make rice without adding oil and salt, AND WITHOUT TASTING THE WATER??? WHY WOULD YOU TASTE THE WATER
and we add spices to all the side dishes eaten with the rice, so i don’t really taste the saltlessness of the rice or whatever- don’t attack me for this it’s how my mom brought me up okay
