A trip to Bulgaria in 2013 to see the newly exported Class 87s at work. Sadly, none were seen in service, apart from shunting around Pirdop Yard. A strange sight seeing Network SouthEast liveried 87012, complete with Cyrillic language on the side!

Slamdoor farewell.

The Hershey Train
Inspired by Chris Tarrants' Extreme Railways documentary, one of my must do trips was on the Hershey Electric Railway. I did it from Havanas' Casa Blanca station to Camilo Cienfuegos, also known as Hershey

Thumpers.
I never got to experience the 'Thumpers' in the South East of England, but I was pleasantly surprised to see these NIR Class 450s operating in Northern Ireland in 2010 and 2011.
I do like the sound of an English Electric engine!
