okay let me just say: i'd you're 13 or younger get the fuck off of twitter. i joined (different account) a few months after turning 14 and still wasn't prepared for some of the shit on here. however, if you're a stubborn little bitch, take precautions:
• make your account private. control who follows you and before following someone, know whether they're an adult or not.
• be prepared to block people, words, tags, etc. if you see someone being a creep, block them. if you're being exposed to toxic language (not necessarily all swearing, but definitely slurs), there is a function that will stop tweets containing them from appearing on your tl.
•use as much common fucking sense as possible. don't give out personal info. it's okay to communicate and have fun with people (within your age group), but never give out personal info other than name and age (

• finally, just stay safe. the internet is a scary place and if you don't use it correctly, it could fuck you up. the legal age to join twitt is 12, though that is extremely low. use your brain, put thought behind decisions, and protect yourself
